Have you considered a sliding quota?

Have people commit to whatever they think they can commit to, and align them in that order?

Incriments of 3M, and people would have to prove they could make that quota for say, 2 weeks?

Not insane quota. They have to be able to make the quota for a fixed period, to prove it isn't insane.

Basically everybody chooses their own quota, and then they are placed like that. Whoever is at the 'top' still has to make their quota to Panzer.

3M incriments.

If people choose the same quota, (12M or 24M or whatever is popular) the regular OH policies apply.

Anybody who wants to move up spends 2 week(s) at new quota level, and if they succeed, they move up during the next 2 week cycle.

Movements happen every other weekend.

Now, this is like a regular chain, if they fail, they get the boot. However, if they feel their quota is too strong, and they want to move back... They can choose to move to a lower quota, but only one that they would have qualified for during the last week they fell behind. If they blatantly wander off and drop back to 93.75 or whatever, give em an oldskool boot.

[and now for something completely different!]

By the way, the first 8 hours of in game time sworn is like 90% of the bonus you know. Use the leader/loyal calculator and see what I mean.
Plus, OH people generally have much higher base self and most of them have a buadren to log out with, meaning you don't need to wait insane amounts of time to re-max your leadership bonus. I know I only need like 4 mules to max it, although most people probably do not have 280 self.

If you're paranoid about leadership bonus, I suggest you get eltank, stand in your cottage, and set it to only buff your self/leader/loyal, and use some other plugin to talk every 5 minutes, and leave it overnight the same day you reswear.

I would go crazy trying to keep up with who is who and where they are in a chain like that. Plus, people would be changing their quota every couple of weeks and reswears and moves like we've never seen before. It's an interesting idea, but it would be completely unmanageable.

OH, I'm not sure how you figure the first 8 hours of ingame time results in getting your loyalty bonus to 90% of max. Everythign I have ever read on it indicates it is a linear calculation, which means 240 hours of ingame sworn time is 240 hours, any way you slice it. Stay logged in 10 hours a days and it takes 24 days to max it.

There is a leadership bonus that is time based (you mentioned the leadership bonus). What I always talk about is the loyalty bonus, not the leadership bonus. None of us will ever see a maxed out leadership bonus. The leadership bonus is based on the AVERAGE ingame time your vassals have been sworn to you. Since most of us have some non active vassals or cross server trades, it will be practically impossible to have an average ingame sworn time of 240 hours of your vassals. Plus, the bonus is only 20% added to your leaderdship.

My point was that given the high scores of leader and loyal in the OH, very few of us really need that much in game time to get back to max.

It is nice to have it, but it doesn't kill us if we don't have it.

that sounds like a whole lot of book keeping

Truthfully, I think this is where chains will be headed someday.

I just thought we should be the ones to do it first.
