what happened to our rank?

While hunting at the tunnels this morning, i equipped my orb to buff and when i put my major quick shield back on it said my allegiance rank was too low to use that items magic. I checked my rank and during the 30 minutes or so before i removed the shield to buff it must have dropped from rank 8 or 9 ( i for get which) down to rank 5. This also means I can't use my major str bracers for weapon tinkering.
Anyone know what happened and how soon we can expect the problem to be fixed?

I'm not sure exactly yet. Highto last shows as rank 9 in the Food Chain listing, while his patron, Danik, shows as rank 5. I am guessing the break is between them, but it's hard to tell for sure. Highto might have updated ACStats right before the break happened. If so, he is also affected by the break, but ACStats can't show that yet.
Add Highto last and Danik both to your friends list and see if Danik shows Highto as a vassal still, or if Highto shows Panzer as the monarch. If might be that a rank mule died somewhere too, and there may not be an actual chain break.
We're working on it. Everyone post here if you notice your rank is wrong, and use Meginjarder to talk to each other. We'll get whatever is wrong fixed ASAP.

My bad. I put up a rather complicated insertion order yesterday and things were done out of order. As a result the chain is broken under Scyon. Will be fixed ASAP. Sorry bout that.
edit-- ok now im not 100% sure that this is the cause. Can any level 80-90 people report in plz?

There are a number of rank mules inserted in different places in the chain. I only know where a couple of them are, but my guess is the rank is broken fairly low in the chain, and Dave Mustaine is sitting above another rank mule or two that fixes the rank at your level.
Down at least to Litl Princess the rank is broken, and up at least as high as Wimp Tinker. I can't tell on anyone else yet because the break is newer than people's updates to the chain page.

Hope that helps...
But have not seen Delindra on as of yet either if that makes a difference.

Rank is temporarily fixed with Galen III temp sworn to me until Voladin gets in game.
