Earth and Beyond -- too sluggish and lack of creatures
DoC -- that was like playing Nintendo
Planetside -- you do the same thing over and over and you gain nothing
Ac2 -- Different, but not as streamlined as Ac1
Sims Online - You spend all your time chatting and eating. What fun

Now playing SWG and it rivals Ac1 in playability and content. The graphics are so intense I have to buy a better computer just to handle them better. It is somewhat like Ac2 where there are no real vendors other than yourselves. Everyone buys from each other since there are so many professions available that the work has to be spread out. There are over 1000 different creatures and plenty of them. It is nice seeing over 1000 different creatures than on Ac1.
I play the game with a "pet" that hunts with me. We are always in a group so I always get an Xp bonus. My pet is a Panther, but this guy stands 3-4 times my height. When I see the prey I want to attack, I send him in and he tanks for me while I hit the creature with my scatter pistol (shoots three beams at once - acid damage), Light Lightning Cannon (you guessed it, electrical damage) and my carbine (a carbine is a smaller version of a rifle. I have two - one is a laser carbine). The pistol does about 125-175 damage unless I use a special move which doubles that. The LLC does 900-1200 (special move does 2400-3200 damage, but you have to be up close for that and I can use special moves until he is dead). I just started to use the carbines so haven't got a good damage report on them yet.
BTW, battles are not always this easy. My LLC gives off a high signature and sometimes a creature will see this, break away from my pet and head directly to me. I can use sevral tactics. One is to run

Not all players use weapons like mine, some use melee weapons, some rifles and some are commandos that use explosives, rocket launchers, flamethowers, particle beam weapons and much more. They play in the rebel vs imperial battles. Commandos are great in knocking out the imperial walkers. I tried to attack one myself and the walker just about fried my ass. Had to run for miles to get away from it.
Anyway, the game is .... how do you say.... FANTASTIC!
The mountable pets are almost ready for release. The speeders and swoop bikes will be out by Christmas. Spaceships will be out soon after. My brother is a Smuggler and eagerly awaits the ships. We travel from planet to plant using shuttles at spaceports. There are also shuttles for interplanetary transit between cities. Players can sell faction points to buy weapons, armor, fighting npc's (you can have up to 3 of these soldiers fightalong side of you taking their orders from you. You can also have up to 3 pets and also a combat droid following your orders). Imperial players can also trade faction points for the imperial walkers and turrets. You can even get your own shuttle pick you and your friends from wherever you are and transport your team to a chosen city (like summoning a portal on Ac). And you can trade for planet bombardment on top of your enemies.
Nope, PK battles were never like this on Ac. But just like Ac, if you are not a rebel or imperial you can't be harmed by another player unless you duel each other (a temporary deal like PK-Lite on Ac). You can become a rebel or imperial though a recruiter found in many cities. All you need is 200 faction points which you get doing missions. Then if its not for you, you tell the recuiter that you don't want to be with them anymore, and in one hour game time (not real time), you are neutral again. You can even change sides.
There are 10 planets so far and each one is huge and very different from the others. Environments, creatures, missions, quests, factions, npc's and player businesses. You can build up to 5 houses and put them on different planets.
Like I said. I will be taking a break from Ac for awhile. I will be on Ac from time to time, but not in a big way unless a new patch attracts me. If any of you happen to try swg, we are on the server Tarquinas. Most of us (about 20 friends) are on the planet Tattooine in Mos Eisley. My home is on the planet Corellia in the city of Coronet. My character's name is Lycos and I am a Bounty Hunter. All of us travel. There are some planets that I have not been on yet. But my profession will lead me there

See you some time
