Looking for an xBow
Looking for an xBow
That’s right, I am converting Ranger II into an xbow char.
3 reasons...
1. Less skill credits required.
2. More damage per hit.
3. Same speed as bow.
So I am looking for a 290 required xbow with a low work, low value and would like AR on it already.
Just let me know what you got, and what you are asking for.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if they tweaked the speed on Xbow recently. Couple patches ago, I took my bow and xbow guys out and timed fire rate with a stopwatch. That was at full accuracy to make it easier to count. The xbow only put out 3/4 as many shots per min as the bow, but the bow only averaged 3/4 as much damage as the xbow. The damage calculation was a fair bit less precise than the timing though. Didn't chart damage from each hit and do an average, just watched screen and judged from there.
My conclusion was that they pretty close to equal over long term. In the short term, the xbow one-hits a lot more stuff than the bow. Makes a big diff on things like hi level wisps, where you really want to knock em down quick before they start casting on you. And with a mage vulning, you can take out a LOT of critters with one hit.
The animation does take some getting used to. If you start running from a critter that has almost killed you, you DON'T try to go into war mode while you're running hehe. You definitely develope good habits about when you go into and out of war mode.
The difference in skill credit cost makes the xbow the better deal in my opinion. I've played it for over 6 months now, love it.
