The Vass & the Buffbot

A noobie arrived just the other day
Came to Dereth in the usual way
But there were portals to catch, and critters to slay
In 5 seconds my vass had vitae

And he could summon before I knew it, and as he grew
He’d say “Someday I’ll be an 00ber toonâ€￾
“I’ll be oober just like you…â€￾

And the vass at the buffbot with a noobie toon
Doesn’t know his limits but he will pretty soon
“When ya’ take me to OHN? I’ll know we’ll have a good time then.â€￾

My vass hit 10 just the other day
Said “Thanks for the tinkers, c’mon lets playâ€￾
“Can you PL me, to get into the Cit?â€￾
I said “Maybe not all the way, but we can hunt for a bit.â€￾

So we hung out killing Undead and as he grew,
He’d say “Someday I’ll be an 00ber toonâ€￾
“I’ll be oober just like you…â€￾

And the vass at the buffbot with a noobie toon

“When ya’ take me to OHN? I’ll know we’ll have a good time then.â€￾

My vass came home just the other day
So much like myself I just had to say
“Bud I’m proud of you, can you chat for a while?â€￾
He shook his head, and he said with a smile
“What I’d really like man is to make some more XP.â€￾
“Need a portal, can you summon please?â€￾

I’ve long since quit playing 4+ hrs a day.
My vass passed me up just the other day.
I said, “Wanna go questing & see what we find?â€￾
He said, “I’d love to bud, but I ain’t got the time.
You see the new chain is pumpin, and I’ve quota to make,
I’m really sorry that I had to break.
As a patron you were really great.

And as I logged off it occurred to me,
My vass was no longer with me.
He was no longer with me.
