Anyone interested in growing a character naturally?

Post by Panzerfaust » Mon Nov 15, 2004 4:41 pm

I am going to grow a new character from the ground up. No help. No buff bot. No money help. No weapon help. No armor help.

I think one of the things that has bored me is the fact that I can walk away from my computer in "almost" instance and come back alive.

If you are interested, post here. If not, skip this thread. :) I know -- you have already paid your dues. :)

This is for some of us that need some adventure and lots of death and vitae.

BTW: this will require you to have some willpower (self control).

Is it okay if we get our willpower buffed? That might help me resist using the buff bots. If so, I'm in. ;)

Panz... the first thing I thought of when I read "naturally" was that you intended to make
your characters run around nakkid all the time....

LOL

Well - if he does not equip the new toon with muled armor then it basically WILL be nakkid - it does only matter optically whether it wears the AL leather armor or not....

I might have been tempted to start over as well, especially on a different server to avoid the temptation of equipping the toon after all.....but right now I am installing Everquest 2, so my AC time will probably be limited during the near future....
If EQ2 is anything like every other non-AC1, I will be fully back to AC1 sooner or later

OK, this looks like this will be fun and there is enough interest.

This is what I was thinking:

Keep them disconnected from the clan for a while. I'm not talking about starting a new clan, but this will allow us to only see our little guys' /a chat and we won't be able to use the mansion or buffbots. ;)

I have a pack mule we can initially swear to, to keep everyone in the /a. If he fills up, then we will start stacking under us. We don't want to chain them. I will use two accounts. One for my new guy and the other that will effectively be the monarch, so we are all in the same clan. :)

Now, for a plan:

What starter town? I usually make my guys in Holtburg. Don't remember why. :)

I want to make a Melee guy of some type. I think a sword character.

We need to have some balance of characters.

Post what your preference is and i'll compile the list.

If this gets moving pretty well, i'll make a forum for us. It will be viewable to the public, so they can see our progress and jubiliation. :D
