Ethos
The purpose of the Last Dynasty XP Chains is to enhance the enjoyment of Last Dynasty members who, through choosing to abide by a few rules, will be able to better use the game mechanics to receive more XP than they would otherwise. Chain Management seeks to administer the Chains in such a way as to maximize the chains efficiency while still protecting interests of the longstanding and loyal members of the Last Dynasty Chains. Administration will be fair and open, and constructive criticism will be welcomed.
Basic Requirements
Leadership:
At this time having leadership trained is not a requirement in any of the LD chains; however, having leadership trained is STRONGLY encouraged if you can fit it into your template at all. Having leadership trained cause much more xp to pass up from your vassal than leaving it untrained.
Loyalty:
All chain members must raise their loyalty skill on an ongoing basis. At this time chain management has not yet determined a mandatory skill requirement; however, the following cost comparison may be helpful in determining how high a particular character can realistically raise loyalty. Leadership costs the same to raise as loyalty, and again, all members are strongly encouraged to raise both loyalty and leadership.
Code: Select all
Base Spec'd Cost Trained Cost
Skill Total Per Total Per
Spent Point Spent Point
100 507,671 34,954 1,269,177 87,386
125 2,368,266 124,260 7,938,414 570,649
150 7,510,827 311,229 52,004,816 3,783,072
175 38,089,744 2,561,281 344,812,110 25,153,203
200 336,095,513 34,932,222 2,292,476,532 167,330,555
208 is the maxed skill for trained leadership, costing 4.2 billion total xp and 306 million xp for the last point.
226 is the maxed skill for specialized leadership, costing 4.1 billion total xp and 350 million xp for the last point.
Quotas
Quota is different for each chain. See the individual chain forums for exact details. Quota numbers are tracked for the most recent two weeks. When data is older than two weeks it is no longer used to calculate quota; therefore, it is more beneficial to hunt at least some every day if possible than to hunt once a week for massive amounts of xp. Hunting every day or every other day will help avoid drastic changes in the database reports that can occur when a massive hunting session suddenly becomes too old to count towards quota anymore. Chain membes are required to keep Loyalty and Leadership buffed at all times.
Reporting
Reporting is based on AC stats, which is mandatory. Updating is automatic and doesn't require any additional work from you. All you need to do is run Decal with ACStats loaded, log into AC, and your data is sent to the database every time you log out. For more information about using ACStats please consult the ACStats FAQ. Not updating ACStats information to our database will result in removal from the chain.
Failed quotas
Maintaining Quota is the responsibility of each individual chain member. Each member should know exactly where he/she stands where quota is concerned. The best way to keep track of your quota status is by checking the Last Dynasty AC Stats page often for your particular chain.
Vacations and XP holidays
You will be allowed to accrue xp credit in advance - based on cumulative net contribution to the chain.
Should you need to leave the chain for a while (for example 4 weeks in Barbados) the Chain Management guarantees that you will be re-inserted as soon as possible on your return. The important thing here is information. Keep the Management informed about your status.
Please be aware - even if the Management approves your staying in the chain during a holiday, the Management may have to temporarily remove you as a result of an Insertion/Removal/Promotion that takes place in your region of the chain. Upon returning from your vacation, notify the Management, and you will be re-inserted immediately.
Recruitment
The Rank Chain is open to applicants of all levels
The 6 Million Chain is open to applicants of all levels.
The 20 Million Chain is open to applicants of all levels.
The 100 Million Chain is open to applicants of levels 50 - 126+; however, it should be cautioned that a level 50 character may not be capable of hunting for the amount of xp that is needed to pass up 100 million xp per week to the patron.
Applicants over level 120 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
New applicants from outside the clan who are 126+ will be placed under the lowest 126+ member of the 20 Million chain for an evaluation period of two weeks. When multiple level 126+ characters have applications active, the applicants will be spread among the lowest 126+ chain members for the evaluation period. At the end of a successful evaluation period the applicant will be placed into a regular spot in their chain. In the case of an evaluation period where not enough xp was passed up to qualify for the requested chain the applicant is free to join one of the chain with a lower quota, or to begin a new evaluation period. That decision is up to the chain applicant. A maximum of one character per player (not per account) may be in the 100 Million chain at any given time. At this time there is no limit to the number of characters per player that may be a part of the other Last Dynasty chains. Our chains are not for everyone: we have higher standards that we expect everyone to follow, standards which may not be preferable to some players. For more information please see the chain forum page for the particular chain which interests you and read the Application thread.
Use of the Chain Forum
Use of the forum board for your particular chain is mandatory. This is the place where all official chain-specific communication takes place. Failure to check the board may result in temporary removal from the chain, and could occur when the management is inserting or removing others around you. We recommend each member try to spend at least 5 minutes a day browsing the board. Failure to use the board will likely result in you missing posts which involve your character. Failure to comply with posted orders within four days will cause you to be removed from the chain.
Here is a quick guide to using your time efficiently on the boards.
* Record and learn the names of the individuals three spots above and below you in the chain. (Consult the chain listing for this information)
* When browsing the boards, read all threads titled "All members read", or similar verbage, first.
* Secondly, read any thread with "ATTN: [name], [name], [name] in the Subject, where one of the names are yours.
* Thirdly, read any thread with "ATTN: [name], [name], [name] in the Subject, where one or more of the names are on your 3-up and 3-down list.
If you do this, you will not miss a beat.
Removal
Members wishing to leave the Chain must give adequate notice (ideally 1 week before) by posting on the Message Board; Please wait to be chained around before seeking your new home. It is the responsibility of all chain members to swiftly remove those who wish to leave.
Promotion
Promotion of chain members will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Promotion policies differ among the chains. Please see your particular chain's forum for information relating to a promotion policy for that chain. Promotion, in any chain, is a privilege, not a right, but Chain Management will endeavor to make this happen. To request a promotion, contact a Chain Manager. Be sure to explain all relevant information, and then be patient.
Insertion
The insertion of new applicants and re-insertion of former chain members will be happening almost all the time. There is no "special insertion day" Therefore, it is that much more important for all members to read the boards. It is the responsibility of all chain members to swiftly insert new members.
Quota Failure Policy
See the individual chain forums for details about the failure and removal policies for that particular chain.
Removals will not happen on a specific schedule. The Chain Management Team will post removals as needed. It is up to the individual member to track his/her own quota.
AcStats Update Failure
"Updating your ACStats" refers to logging into Asheron's Call with ACStats (and our clan add-on) loaded. Information is automatically sent to our server every time the character logs out. The command "Update your ACStats" simply means "Please log into AC and then out again with ACStats loaded."
AcStats is our only way of tracking Quota automatically. Therefore, it is mandatory that every chain member update the database frequently.
After a member has not uploaded in four days, "Upload" will show by their name, instead of "Passed" or "Failed". If this happens, that member should contact a manager ASAP to receive help in resolving this issue.
After a member has not uploaded in eight days, "Old Data" will show. If no contact is made by this member, he/she will be removed from the chain.
Failure To Read The Boards
Communication is key for the chain to move smoothly. Each member must read the Food Chain board frequently to remain informed. Chain Managers will post chain placements, movements, and removals there.
If the members involved in any chain movement do not respond within four days from the date of the original post, a member may be sworn around to complete a chain insertion, move, or removal. Please note that such a removal is not permanent-- the member can be re-inserted once their participation level comes back up.
Quota Explanation
The amount of xp that needs to be passed up in order to meet quota requirements is different for each chain; however, the way in which quota is calculated is the same. A chain member will automatically up 10% of the xp that was received from the chain vassal. This 10% is automatically done by the game and is not considerd in quota calculations. What IS considered is the amount of xp that is passed up from the chain member's direct hunting efforts. For calculation purposes, the quota for all of the chains is based on an assumed 25% passup of the directly hunted xp. 25% is the minimum passup percentage advertised by Turbine. In reality, the passup percentage is more likely to be in the 40% to 65% range. As a chain vassal increases loyalty a higher percentage of the hunted xp will be passed up. As a chain patron increases leadership a higher percentage of the vassal's xp will also be passed up. Both vassal and patron should raise loyalty and leadership on a regular basis. Doing so will result in more xp going to the patron, and will result in the vassal passing up more xp for the same amount of hunting effort.
If there is confusion about what all this means, please contact a Chain Manager for clarification.

Please use the link above and then choose your chain from the dropdown list to diagnose your status in the chain. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that they are meeting all requirements. If a chain member has an issue with the report site, it is their job to come to the chain management and try to get the issue resolved. Sometimes there are bugs in the system and mistakes can be made. By staying on top of your own status you can make sure that if a mistake occurs, it is solved immediately.
Please note
The Chain Management team can remove a member who is falling below our minimum requirements without warning. Do not let this happen to you.
