Who likes to have fletching on their missle chars?

Post by Culticon » Wed Feb 26, 2003 9:15 pm

I love to have fletching on my missle chars. Just so I can carry an assortment of heads with me so I can fletch on the fly. Very helpful when your just standing around the mansion and someone pops you with a quest invite and you are completely ready to go,and don't have to run home and get different arrows or bolts for a certain quest. I think its very well worth the skill pts to have flecthing on him just for the extra readiness :D

I must agree here, it's also nice to have, more or less, a never ending supply of arrow, with out the burden.

My archer has fletching. I carry 5-10 bundles of every kind of arrowheads and usually 15 bundles of arrow shafts at all times. With the group of friends I have I never know where I'll end up   .

PS: Culticon, I think you've gotten the farming thing figured out

If you have alchemy you can make the arrows as well. This is very useful when you have a sudden quest come up and you are using a different kind of arrow then you usually use.

It's a give and take. If you don't take fletching you better have high strength or you run out of arrows fast. I've looked at alot of high level archers and they all take fletching so that they can have lower strength in favor of higher focus and self for spells. Remember, this game is all about give and take.

would never survive without fletching.

and as a hint, you use fletching skill to put oils on heads so you don't even need to craft the heads before hand. just stock up on oils and get regular heads and some bludge/ap/fc

I agree....Fletching is a neccesity not an option.....I too like to carry a good amount of shafts (100)....then about 20 bundles of each type of arrowhead...except fire..I carry a lot more fire sine it's used the most.

I let my mule make me a nice supply...keep it in a chest and can go months at a time without having to remake

Yep, fletching is where it is at. I took fletching as one of the first things when I made Neu, before I had a clue what I was doing. I just knew that carrying bundles of made arrows was too big of a pain. I untrained it around lvl 92 so I could get Melee D a little earlier and I regretted it. I loved having melee d, but man it sucked to have to carry all ready fletched arrows and I always ran out and had to go get more or borrow more. SO, I give an unqualified vote for fletching on missile characters.
