VOD Virindi

Ok, Vod Virindi are a little tricky and i would like to share this tip.

Tip 1: Only have one person drag...no reason to have all the V comming at you at once.

Tip 2: Cast one spell on one V and wait before casting a second spell. Try to remember which Virindi you already have that debuff on as well as the exact spell cast on it. Almost always, a different V or 2 others will come other than the one you either debuffed or tried to debuff from that first spell! Shift over to the sticker (the one that actually started after you) and debuff that one.

Tip 3: The rest of the fellow should just attack the one that is debuffed. If 2 V came, leave the one debuffed alone (especially if in a fellow of 2-4 people). He will run back to the spawn which will allow the debuffer free time to debuff the next round. Debuff the one you already have one spell cast on (hopefully you kept track).

Tip 4: Tree's have very high magic defense!!! Debuff person should use a tree between them and the V whenever possible. This saves time from dodging and seeing that message "your movement has interrupted spell casting"!

Tip 5: If all 3 V's come, you need to run away from spawn about 1/4 a compass radius. That way one or 2 of the others will usually run back to spawn location.

Try this technique out, i know you will love it!

Another tip: Until they turn around to float back to the spawn point, they will keep the same target, no matter what. No amount of attacking by other players will change that.

So if a mage lures and two virindi come and start attacking him, don't think you're doing a favor by attacking both (especially if he only debuffed one of them!) You're actually making it worse, because if you left one of them alone, it would eventually get bored and leave him alone. But attacking it keeps it angry and doesn't change its target, so it will keep attacking the mage.

So you're saying if you in VoD and decide you don't like your mage very much, that attacking the second virindi may actually BE what you are wanting to do?

Ok, I know Podunker is trying to help but that is just not true!!! As soon as any VOD Virindi starts back toward their origional spawn spot, they will not attack the same character that started the engagement unless provoked. I tested this tonight and as long as the v (both types) are heading back to their spawn point, the debuffer has nothing to worry about!

Acaddict, that was just what Podunkmer said, but he formulated it differently.

You are both agreeing that virindis fight against the same target as long as you keep beating on it, but after it floats back and returns it can change target.

PK's take note! The ULTIMATE uber armor for magic defense, better than life protects, better than Aegis shield, is made out of ........WOOD!!!

Let the debates begin: Pine versus Oak, green vs. seasoned, Varnished vs. unfinished. So many questions!!

New Tinkering skill next patch: Carpentry

New trade tool: The joiner/planer

New Creature Buff: Paul Bunyon's Blessing

New Debuff: Dry Rot!
