If your health reaches zero, you will die. There are some thing you can do to get health back.

1. Use your healing skill.
2. Use life magic to cast heal self.
3. Use life magic to drain health away from others and into you.
4. Drink Potions.
5. Lie down or wait at a safe area until you health comes back.
6. Fight for xp and get to the next level, filling your health to 100%.
7. Die and return to lifestone with most of you life all back.

If if the only way that seems to work for you is number seven, you should try other games.

But, but, if I need to recomp anyway, hitching a trip to the lifestone is okay isn't it?

Definitely, but you have to make it seem like you did it on purpose. Otherwise you may be called a n00b or newb, something along those lines.

I remember the good 'ol days of the Lugian Cit. When it was time to go to town to recomp, I would pick up all the loot I could carry and wait for one of the lugians to cast Lifestone Recall Other on me. :)

Back when Gray was still a little shaver, the lugie cit outside of Qal used to be his bread and butter. I'd get there with a full set of buffs and loot EVERYthing I could pick up worht over 2k in value. By the time the buff cycle was over and I had to recall, My (buffed) burden was never less than 190. Made for some interesting fighting, let me tell you :P
