Any Interest in the Olthio Shield quest?

I'd like to do this one, tried to solo it twice but had
to bail out both times realizing my buffs
would't last long enough to kill the sentinel.
Guess my sword dont have enough bite.

OK, for those that dont lnow, :

You must do talking and get a couple things from a few dungens to get access. This can take about 90 min (if I am prop prepared.

Then after u have ring u gain access to the Ancient Oltho Quen Lair.

So if you are interested in showing your mettle aginst a 100k HP Oltio Sentinal or want the shield. Post here and we will set it ip.

I hunt the Old Bug's lair all the time. Played with the sentinel a few times by accident. Basically, I know my way around this dungeon. All 4 wings of it. I'd like to get my shield, but someone will have to debuff the Sentinel for me to realize that goal.

I'll be happy to put my hand in and help this quest succeed.

According to Jan. Dev. notes the
Olthoi Sentinel has been 'changed
for balance'.
Don't know what this change is tho.

Cameloo Yao and I did this quest this morning. Here's what we learned:

#1 He's a tough-arsed bug. Need someone with in the neighborhood of 400 life & creature to debuff. he's tougher than the ML queen and hits almost as hard.

#2 We can take any of the 4 paths down to him. This means we don't have to stand in a place where Muties and Swarmies spawn constantly.

#3 If you have fewer than 5 people wailing on him, somebody better have a CS weapon. Rendering weapons, including AR don't pack the punch to bring this guy down fast. CB or CS if you got it. Mages should use CS.

#4 My buffed Attack skill is 420. I missed often enough to notice. This was with a base +10% attack weapon and level 7 buffs.

#5 He dropped 3 abdomen fragments and took us about a half-hour to kill. Given what we learned, I'd say it could be done in 1/3 the time, or less with a larger group.

OK done it agin last night,
1. The sentinal drops 4 abdomins to tun into olthio hunter inarwic for sheild
2. Twon Crier and I soloed him,previously took us 35 mins
3. This time we had 4 melel Mad Summoner (max mage power) and another mage, took us about 15 mins to kill (100k hp) little bette XP , but dont go ther for the Xp.
4. Someone needs to keep various mutes ect from bother the killer(s)
5. Somone must be able to throw debuffs (has hi magic D) thwo everyting th book at him
6. Need to do the pre qquest to get ring to access dunggeon. (bout 2hr orless)
7. Reccmmend A mage with good critter skils to debuf, and he dont like it so he will tun on em. Not particually damaging if u have good protects and armor.
8. Have some one to just clear the other spwns of Olthio,
9. I found that with debuff, the CS mana C orb wi=orked best using Blud.

If we can get a crew togther that want to do , I will lead it, eaihte have to do in to parts A) get ring for acces B) kill sentinal

TO do parts would require a fri night or weekend for me.

It is fun just whooping on him
