Questing etiquite question....

I know this is not posted in the quest etiquite section, but as a noob, I have to ask... is it appropriate to "gift" the person who helps you on a quest? I've heard of this being done.... if this is proper... kinda like tipping, what does a n00b have to offer to a level 100+? Anyone have some neat items that they could suggest to get as gifts or where is cool place to get gift items that are worth giving? Last thing I want to do is be thought of as a leech... if I seem lost... er... it's because... I'm lost! LOL
I'm not trying to be rude to anyone.... LOL Got a lot of learning to do...
Thanks guys.

Just be in your usual good and cheerful mood, if you really-really want to tip 'em then carry a few bags of hyssop. That can make for some good laughs.
You can always give Sassy a hug too!

Should I be holding a sign that says "Will work for hugs"?

If I run a quest, the best reward I can get is
1. to have everyone listen to me
2. getting everyone their quest reward
3. a polite thank you

Yes, Nauscicaa is right. Most Quest leaders are "Paid" by those in the quest who follow the quest guidelines that the clan has posted.
What some people have a very hard time understanding, is that the best quest leaders take responsibility for everyone in the group going. This means she/he has to sometimes wait around for those who are lagging, or explain things to those who have not done the quest before. Many times people who have done the quest before like to run off and get ahead of everyone else, or they complain that it is not moving fast enough.
Everyone paying attention, having patience and being a help to the leader is worth more to him/her than anything else I can think of.
Well, except for Hyssop maybe..

LOL!! WOW... I love being part of this family!
/e gets warm fuzzies because LD is so caring...
I have only been on a few quests, but the people who have joined us have been nothing less than angels. The edequite above has been followed to the letter by those who have accompanied our group. I really appreciate the respect shown to those who are leading and those who are reaping the benefits of the quest. (which from what I gather, is everyone)
Thanks
