The Floating City

Well I happend upon this portal yesterday. I tied the entrance and it has since dissappered. The city itself appears to be a dungeon of looping portals that is obviously some type of puzzel.
I've think I might have solved the puzzel but need a lock pick or another questor to help me fullfill the requirements.
Does anyone have a tie to the floating city and would be willing to prop a door or two or perhaps pick a lock?

if you find it again, and i'm online, and not currently doing a quest or running for my life, I'd love to come along for a bit and look around.
haven't been in that place since my first character was level 21, probably 2 years ago

yah, there's a random portal in that place to golem sanctuary, that's why i went to that place. Back in the day when motes had value that place rocked

Well my solution to the puzzel didn't work. Now I'm starting to wonder if its nothing more than just a multi-part dungeon. If that's the case I'll be really BUMBED

Aye the floating city is really just a vacent city of nothing but portals and some low level monsters.
It would be nice if turbine would do something with it

hummm floating city that portal is at the lifestone sw of qal by the lifestone close to the lightning emporiam. has been there for about a week now. next time i,m ig i,ll write down coords and post them

ok got in game it is still by lifestone at 86.5s 5.5e. would also like to venture thru again and see what we can find

There was a hint once by a dev that not everything in the Floating City had been found.. and I've always wondered.
just like the Queen's Quest has never actually been completed. (another one that I've been trying to work out)

Hmmm I thought I had covered every little peice of that place.
I will have to go again and have another look.
There are many different ways to get acces to it.
I know for sure, you can find the floating city random portal at places, but there is also a portal there form the golem sancuary, which is also a random portal

how can a portal be random if it is in the same place? timing of appearance? if so then it most likely would be triggered.

The golem sanctuary is a random portal. At the very end of the dungeon is a portal to the floating city.

well i have to say that i've given up on the floating city.
the portals inside the dungeon did change around the time of the last patch.
i don't know if they change with every patch or just bi-weekly / monthly, but they do change.
i was hoping there would be a portal to some type of city floating in the sky, but after spending a week their rummaging through all the clues i've come to the same conclusion as flanker.
its just a multi-level dungeon with nothing exciting, new, or even relevant to the game
