Saphire Support

Post by Panzerfaust » Sat Nov 22, 2003 2:03 pm

I can work Saphire to its fullest now, but there is one feature that doesn't work for me. That is buffing other's armor. Anyone get this to work? I have talked to the author and his works fine, but mine does not. It could be another plugin I have running.

Anyone have it working? If so, what other plugins are you running?

Just downloaded it for the first time to check it out, you cannot bane Asheron's Raiment! It says it doesnt belong to me.
The raiment must have a flag somehow that says who actually received it from the Olthoi hunter

And why doesnt it cast Strength and Coord??

I have downloaded it, but not yet installed it. I still did not decide whether it could be useful for me.

The main reason is the "no profile" feature.
In NB2 I have several profiles for several occasions, for instance for the different weapons I need to buff depending on the occasion, sometimes (like Dires) even more than one.
From what I have seen in the screenshots at the Saphire website I cannot buff 3 weapons in the inventory ? Or can I ?
Or define a set of Creature buffs for my mules/alchies/tinkerers ?
And what if I need to wield various jewelry prior to buffing ?

I still think NB2 is more useful to me...would it make any sense to try Saphire having the mentioned requirements ?

I installed it,
used it

back to NB II

I think for a melee having the various profiles is much more usefull
No need to slap banes on a fire axe when it's bug time
Other than mages melees need a lot of buffs on their weapons and then also bane their shield (besides maybe baning their armour)
Having to click buffs and banes on everytime is more annoying to me than just hit the 'Naus Olthoi' profile

Besides, I couldnt get it to buff my strength or coord, those pells didnt show up in the spell list and I could not find a way to add them

So for bugs you bane your BludgeRend Hammer - so that the acid spit by the bugs does not corrode it ? Those wooden hafts are too vulnerable  :)

I cast Scratch Protection VI on it, so I can save at least one hour per day of polishing my axes :P
