So where to pick up a good tradebot app.? [er...help?]

Hit Sucamarto's site. Tradebot link is a dead end. Tried AC trade, clicked to download, I get a page full of gibberish and no program.

I've got a really-really FULL mule, and live trading is noting but a headache. Auctioning all of the stuff would take a month and besides, it'd sell better on the bot anyway.

So,

Can anyone kindly direct me to where I could nab a tradebot program? It'd sure be appreciated!!

Keeb,

That is EXACTLY the site I said was nothing but gibberish.

From the URL you listed, you hit the Download page http://actradeonline.com/download.php

Then you hit the download for AC Trade beta 1.7.0.10
http://actradeonline.com/ACTrade17010.msi

Let me know if you get a download, or a grey screen with a bunch of black gibberish on it that siezes up your browser so badly you have to force the browser to close.

I'm kind of left holding the bag here...literally

Right click, Save as.

Problem solved.

Its just the server that has .msi registered as a "wrong" content type.

What thenetworkgod posted about rightclicking and choosing to "Save as" a .msi file onto your local hard drive first should work okay. After saving the .msi file to your local disk, try opening the file from there.

If that still results in weirdness you might need to get an undated installer but I doubt that will be needed. If saving the actrade program locally and then installing it doesn't work, however, please post that here and I'll find the link for the lastest Microsoft installer executable for you.

Aren't computers fun? ;)

Computers fun?

Well, beats changing-out a transmission or oil pan gasket I suppose. But at least the instructions for changing those are CONSISTENT!

Thanks for the help all :) Now to see if I can get this thing setup...anyone know where I can find a guidebook? ;)

I moved this to decal/plugins, so it's easier to find in the future.

The app "should" have some docs with it. I have never set a trade bot up, so I have not experience with it.

I know there are tradebots in the clan, though.

I posted on the public thread because, like many people, that's where I link to rather than the Index. Good move archiving it.

Setting up a bot is kind of tricky as far as I'm concerned. Used to run tradebot, but it quit working for some reason. Haven't had any luck with getting AC Trade to finish a transaction.

I'll run this through the cleaner and relate the process here. Likely the info will be obsolete after July, but whatthehel? I figure having empty mules will be a good thing to have by then.

As when I botted before my creed will be the same; sell cheap, stay empty!
