I'm confused

Ok, I'm trying to install this, and I know I'm not stupid, but for some reason I can't seem to figure out where to go to do this:
3) After the plugin installation copy the downloaded MEGINJARDER.XML
from there over the one in the installation directory
(usually C:\Program Files\Meginjarder).
I can find the file to be copied, but not where I put it.
Any suggestions? I'm not completely computer illiterate, but pretty close so explicit directions would be very helpful!!!

I can't recall exactly where to put the file, I'll check my config set up when I get home and post here. Course, by the time that happens, someone else will probably have an asnwer for ya, but if not, I'll do my best.

Neu, Click Start button, then Search. Enter Meginjarder. That will show you where it is. You can dbl click the folder and then copy the new xml to that folder.

Open the location where you download the LDMJ file at.
The form the start button do a search for Meginjarder, when it get done searching open the folder in the search window. Then drag LDMJ file in to the window that you opened for Meginjarder. When it ask if you want to overwrite the Meginjarder.xlm file click yes.

When you started the MJ installation it did ask you for a path to install the plugin to.
In this path selection dialog it already chose a default path.
It auto-selected your default program directory "C:\Program Files" (<- if you use an English version of Windows and drive C: as system drive) and it suggested to create a folder "Meginjarder" in there.
If you did not override that setting but accepted everything by pressing OK/Continue, the installer created a folder "C:\Program Files\Meginjarder". In this folder it did copy two files : the plugin MEGINJARDER.DLL and a default configuration file MEGINJARDER.XML.
All you have to do is to copy the downloaded LD-specific configuration file over the created one.
One possibility to do this in Windows Explorer is :
- go to your Download folder and right-click the downloaded XML, press "Copy" in the context menu
- go to "C:\Program Files\Meginjarder" (or how you called the folder during installation).
- in there right-click anywhere on the window background, press "Paste" in the context menu
- press "Yes" in the Overwrite Confirmation box
A way to locate your MJ installation is :
- Start -> Search -> For files or Folders (-> All files and folders)
- enter meginjarder.dll in the first edit box
- select "My Computer" in "Look in" listbox
- press "Search"
When the right side of the search window shows a hit, right-click the filename meginjarder.xml and select "Open containing folder".
This will open a new window showing the MJ installation directory.

Ok, I really am not stupid but this is not working for me. The directions are great but for some reason I click on the update file for MJ and get a website. When I try to copy that and paste it in the file, it doesn't wrong. So is there something I'm not downloading that I should be? Or am I just clueless. LOL.

Try right clicking the link for the update file for MJ and select "Save Target As"

Good call Kerosene

Neuslayer, the link you click on points to the file that you need to copy into your MJ directory. Unfortunately, the file itself is a format your Web browser understands, so it opens the file for viewing instead of copying it. If you do what Kerosene suggested, and save the file somewhere you can find it again, then all you need to do is copy the .xls file into your MJ folder. Of course, you can Save as directly into your folder, but that wouldn't be as much fun.
