MAJOR Update of Meginjarder

I have installed a new version of the Meginjarder Server.

It provides enhanced functionality through the MeginStats web-page

I am too lazy now to list all the new features :wink: - just check the web-page out for yourself....

In order to use some of the new features you have to log into the web-page.

I recommend that you

- log into AC with your main toon in order to connect to the database
- use the command @member password <somePassword> to define a password for your web login

Later, when you log in alternate toons or mules, you can link them to your main with the command @member set main=<name of Main>

As of now MeginStats does not display the Player Map correctly.
And probably some other things might be fishy....I am still in the process of adapting the server scripts...

While ingame with with meginjarder runing type in @member password <somePassword>

That will set your password up for the MeginStats web-page which will use the toon name as your username and the password that you set to allow you to log in to the site.

i.e:
While loged on with Tusami you would type in @member password <somePassword>

After that if you wish you can log in your ather toons and link them to your main

i.e:
@member main=Tusami

I hope that answers your question.

Like Kerosene said.

You use the "@member password" only for your main toon.
With every other toon that you play (not necessarily every single mule) you use the "@member main=" command to "link" them to your main.

Then you will you your main's toon name to log into the web-page, neither your Passport nor Zone account.....

When you have "assigned" your alternate toons to your main as decribed, you can for instance view ALL your toons' "MJ-mail messages" from one screen, so you do not have to check each individual toon....

You could as well use your oldest toon or the one with the shortest name. The important thing is to use ONE toon as "MJ main" and link all others to it......

Example :
main = Tusami - use "@member password myPwd"
alt1 = Tisuma - use "@member set main=Tusami"
alt2 = Satimu - use "@member set main=Tusami"

Use "Tusami" and "myPwd" als login info for the web-page.

IMPORTANT :

<somePassword> does NOT have to be any of your real passwords like Passport or Zone.

On the contrary - for your own safety use a different one. Although the selected password is stored encrypted in the MJ database (and your Passport/Zone name is never asked for or stored anyway by MJ), the MeginStats web-page is unencrypted and therefore the login info is sent unencrypted when logging in.

I typed @saphirya password <mypassword> and got an error. Did I do it wrong?

Thanks! :)

<mypassword> <---- You are replacing that with a "secret" password, right?

"@member" is a main command of MJ with many sub-commands like "password".

Therefore do NOT substitute your toon name - use "@member" literally.

Other variants of the same command are

/member
@mbr
/mbr

Maybe you have been kicked out of LD and just are not aware of it yet ? :twisted:

Does it give a number in () after the message ?
