This may be a silly question about Jason, but . . .

I had him buff me twice tonight and once I paid him with tapers and plat scarabs, the second time with tapers. He took the plats okay, but each time I gave him the tapers, he put them down at first, saying something about being covered with monster slime. I picked them up, gave them back to him, and he accepted them the second time. Not complaining, just thought it was weird.
