PSA: Mansion Buff Bots Might Be Moving Inside
Wanna get a feel for what people think.
There is a TON of lag outside now due to PKL. We also have a huge abuse issue. I watched people having to wait 10 or so minutes for a buff due to PKLers. I did ban a couple due to this.
Moving them inside is a little inconvenient, but the lag should be gone and it's not a big problem when you get buffed once in a while.

hi
hi
I think there is possibly one drawback to this. Let's say I am at a dungeon that is un-tieable, but is recallable, and I die. Wouldn't going through the house portal make me lose my ability to portal recall to it? And therefore lose my corpse or make me have to run a great distance to get it back etc..
I'm not able to test this atm and see if this is the case, but it is something worth considering. Maybe the house portal would just act like the DM marae lassal portals, and won't affect your ability to recall to the previous portal you went through before it...?? Can anyone confirm one way or the other? thanks.
Other than that one issue, I don't see how it should be any problem to spend 10 xtra seconds to get to the buffbots.

Hey Obiwan.. I thought the same thing that you did.. they changed the portals at the mansion and villas to no tie/recall/summon like the portals on ML and AL.. so you will not loose your tie to what ever dungeon your corpse would be at.. I have ran in my portal at my villa and did a portal recall and was able to get back to the dungeon that i was at.. so I am 100% for placing the bots in the mansion like Panzer is talking about.. Regards.. Fire Eagle

I think not, because levels {under 10 or 12?} that are just starting out can't enter the mansion. The rage about PKL is dying down, and the new patch will fix lag issues.
Just my thoughts,

There are 2 other alternatives to moving the buffbots inside that I wonder if anyone has thought about, although I'll admit that one of them might be considered as 'dictatorial.' That said, here are the alternatives I have been thinking about:
1 - Perhaps a (multi-account) clan member would be willing to set up a 'bot exlusively for members who are pink.
2 - If you are 'pink' either buff yourself or find a public 'bot. Don't tie up
Cho Po and the other 'bots, preventing questers or hunters from getting back to their purpose in a timely manner.
I myself have recalled to the mansion many times for buffs, only to find a very long line. The vast majority of the times, my wait time would have been well over 30 minutes. Most of those ahead of me were PKL.
Rather than wait, I canceled my request and used a public 'bot in marketplace.
Anyhow, there's my two cents worth.
Take care all,
Gray

LOLOL!! Nauss, if the 'bots were taken off line, those who are unable to buff themselves would probably go to MP for the 'bots there. Lag is already crazy enough in there, even without the PKL'ers staying close to their favorite 'bot. How much worse would it be if those players I just mentioned all began hitting there as well?

Well, there is an upside to taking all bots offline. The accelerated leveling from 1 to 126 in a couple of weeks, or less, would come to a screeching halt.

I have a level 160, 128, 121 and 114 besides some lower chars, i think i have used a bot 5 times
I know buffing is boring but I still feel people should hold up their own pants, it just enoys me very much to meet a 50+ or even 100+ who doesn't even know the basics of this game, and boring as it is, buffing is one of the basics

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to.
So that when they turn their backs on you.
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.
