No lines concept?

Well now that I've said sorry, http://www.lastdynasty.net/board/viewto ... =3275#3275 , I thought I would float the idea of no lines at the buff bot.

For the last few weeks I've been running up to the bots and typing "buffbow" and then going afk until I heard the sound of a nife being sharpend, which comes from the last step in the buffs when my weapon is buffed. I really enjoyed using the bots this way and thought I might post my opinion on it.

Does anyone think that removing all buff commands except the buff<skill_type> commands and forcing a timeout after your first buff request of 2 minutes is a good idea?

I thought we did that actually, or is it just buff set that way

lol
yes i thought the same thing but after reading the coc on bots from buffy and poa there seems to be clear defintion of penalties for those who do not adhear to lines and all buff commands still seem to be supported.

i've also noticed that a lot of people are back to the default grouping of buff requests of physical, elemental, bow/melee/mage, buff weapon, and other such commands instead of just saying "<skill_type>full".

i consider nepo a pure archer and enjoy playing the game with a dependency upon a mage. that fact makes me expecially found of the bots when i head out exploring on my own.

I personal feel that they way that Portrait is currnetly set up is working the way that the new COC for bots it suppose to work. Most people are using the full<weaponskill> commands there are a few who do not. However the vast majority are, list below are the request that Portatit has recieved since switching over to the new system. What I can do and will do this weekends is add a greating for everyone that tells them about the new commands. I personal like being able to get a set of main weapons and then having my radical skill buffed at times also, granted I general do that myself.

Thanks for the info on POA.

Can you elaborate on the no-lines concept, Kerosene?

:)

The one command idea was to help prevent line cutting.

everyone that goes to the bot can just enter a command, because it is now assumed that everyone already there has entered their one command.

also anyone asking for non-one commands are doing so for special reasons. Like for trade, mule or chain buffs
